El Paraiso

One of the most well established areas in the Golden Triangle (the region comprising Marbella, Benahavis and Estepona), El Paraíso was originally developed around the El Paraiso Golf Club. The latter was designed by golfing legend Gary Player and completed in 1968, after which the Hotel TRH Paraiso was added and the first villas started taking shape around the course.

El Paraíso is now an established area that retains some scope for further development, and it has become the residential reference point for the area between Estepona and San Pedro Álcantara. In addition to medium to large sized villas, attractive apartments and townhouses within the three main parts that make up El Paraíso, the greater area also includes El Campanario, El Pilar and Benavista.

El Paraiso

The El Paraíso golf course forms the base around which many of the area’s villas are positioned, producing some of the most appealing frontline golf villas in the wider region. On the southeast side, where it slopes down to meet El Campanario, there are also highly attractive apartments and townhouse complexes such as Paraiso Hills.

The gently sloping ridge on the north side of the golf course is home to an attractive part of El Paraíso that consists mostly of medium to large villas but also features a small number of apartments and townhouses. Here you will still find some restoration opportunities among the luxurious and already modernised homes.

At the top part of El Paraíso, where the terrain begins to slope up towards La Alquería, lies the newest extension – Paraiso Hills. This luxurious gated community of contemporary Mediterranean apartments and townhouses forms the focal point of an area that offers scope for the continued development of apartments and private villas.

Lower Paraiso

El Paraíso appeals to homebuyers and visitors because of its central yet peaceful setting, its beautiful surroundings and the proximity of a full set of services. The majority of these are located at the lower end nearest the coastal road and just a few hundred metres from the beach.

El Campanario extends eastwards from Paraiso Hills to include a charming nine-hole golf course and excellent country club. It is an area of attractive apartments, townhouses and some villas developed in the 1990s and 2000s that is now being consolidated. As one of the most upmarket parts of greater area it makes for a very good investment.

Benavista and El Pilar are the lively southern extensions of El Paraíso where shops, restaurants, cafés, a bowls club and a range of other amenities face the coastal road. Between here and El Paraíso proper, there is an established, leafy residential area made up of smaller and medium-sized villas, and charming village-style apartment complexes.
