Situated to the west of El Paraíso, roughly midway between Estepona and San Pedro Álcantara, Cancelada is a rural style village that adds a touch of authentic Andalusian charm to the midst of the Costa del Sol. It is home to restaurants, cafés, shops and professional services, and situated just a few hundred metres from both beaches and open countryside.
Bordering Cancelada are a number of residential areas popular with foreign property buyers: Bel-Air on the mountainside of the coastal road, and Costalita and Saladillo on the beach side.
